I go shopping at Costco at least once a week, and each time it costs about $300-500. As a money-saving blogger, I would research if shopping will save the most money. But I don’t like too many steps to achieve my money-saving purpose. I try to find convenient ways to save money.
If you often shop at Costco, this article will be very helpful to you. Let’s go!~
Costco Label Saving
The most straightforward way to see if a Costco item is on sale is to look at the price tag.
- Prices end at $0.99: The price is the regular member price, with no special offers.
- Prices end at $0.x9: For example, prices ending in $0.49, $0.59, etc. are specials from the manufacturer. Costco’s prices are better than other malls
- Prices end at $0.97: The price means this is a special offer. The prices of products in different Costco offline stores will be different.
- Prices end at $0.00: The products represent the products that are being cleared, such as low-stock products, expiring products, unpacked products, returned products, etc.
- Marked with *: The item will not be restocked and the price may be at the lowest price for that item.
Before you shop, you can pay attention to the number at the end of the label to simply judge whether it is the best time. If you don’t just need the product, it will be more cost-effective to buy it later.
Costco Instant saving
If you go to Costco and find that nothing is on sale, it may be that Costco has just finished Instant Saving. Under normal circumstances, Costco’s monthly Instant savings will last about 24 days. Most items during this period will be priced lower than usual. After the instant saving is over, it will be suspended for 4-5 days to replenish the inventory, and then a new discounted price will be opened.
How to get Instant saving information?
Costco sends coupons to members every month. If you didn’t receive a coupon, try picking it up at the customer service desk to find out which items have big discounts this month.
Find Costco Coupons – Online Shopping
It also doesn’t hurt to search for the best online coupon sites before heading to the nearest Costco. Search sites like Coupons.com, Slickdeals, and RetailMeNot for online Costco coupons, printable coupons, coupon codes, the latest deals, and other savings opportunities.
I usually buy things online at Costco, so I have the Slickdeals and honey plugins installed on my computer.
- Slickdeals: Check out what’s on sale today and if anything I’m about to buy is on sale.
- honey: Get valid coupons (compared to Coupons.com will find valid coupons faster).
Find Costco Coupons – Grocery Shopping
If you don’t like clipping coupons, the Costco app is recommended.
The Costco app highlights current deals and deals, so checking it before heading to your Costco location can help you plan and enjoy a smoother trip while still getting the best deals. Simply show the Costco app to the cashier on your smartphone to redeem offers and save money.
Choose the right member
Costco offers two memberships for individuals and families—Gold Star Membership ($60) and Executive Membership ($120). If you’re a frequent Costco customer, it might be worth the extra $60 to upgrade to executive membership.
One of the best perks of Executive Membership is a 2% cashback bonus, returned to you in the form of a cashback check. If you spend more than $6000 per month, it is equivalent to using an executive membership for free. (However, the average household does not consume that much.)
But! If you’re not earning enough cash back, it’s great that you can refund the extra cost of an upgrade any time of the year.
If your 2% cashback is less than $55, Costco will refund the money to the member. You just need to contact Costco customer service to go through the refund process.
How to buy cheaper memberships?
There will be cheap membership purchases (expired), you can subscribe to this site (click the bell in the lower right corner to subscribe), and when the offer of cheap members appears, you can buy cheap members as soon as possible.
Actively Use The Cashback app
Maybe you haven’t started using cashback apps yet, but I tell you they save me a lot of money. It only takes 1 minute to check whether there is a rebate, which can save you 5%-10% of the money. try it! ~
